JIHA Handed Over Members Donation to the WFO

The members of Jakarta International Hotels Association (JIHA) recently handed over the collected money from member hotels, to the World Food Program organization to help the victims of the latest earthquake in Sumatra. The small presentation was conducted on October 26, 2009 at the Hotel Borobudur Jakarta to follow the association previous initiative to gather items such as clothes, blankets, towels and soap from its members to be sent to the victims through Artha Graha Peduli.
The total donation of Rp. 65 million was donated by the staff, and management, of JIHA member hotels. Association Chairman Mr. Poul Bitsch presented the money by saying that JIHA members are pleased to help whenever needed. The WFO organization informed that the donation can purchase food for about 1000 children for three months.
