Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa Jl. Wahid Hasyim Tel: 021 314 3585
Taman Sari takes it's cue from the bathing palaces of the Keraton Royal Court using age-old materials and methods and combining them with Western massage techniques. Indonesia's rich spa traditions are best enjoyed here, princess style. Established by Mustika Ratu, Indonesia's most renowned Cosmetics and Jamu producer, the first Royal Heritage Spa was opened in the Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta in 1996. In September 2000, TSRH spa opened in Jakarta after which business began to boom spreading to Pekanbaru, Palembang, Garut and overseas to Malaysia, Japan, Canada and China.
Traditional recipes and concoctions of spices and flowers have long been trusted to benefit beauty and health. This modern- day royal court experience begins the moment you enter the door. The smell of spices fills the room creating a relaxing and cultural atmosphere. Welcome drinks are also very Javanese. Wedang Jahe (ginger tea), wedang asem(sour tea) and many more, all have their own special
benefits. Taman Sari also has a Jamu bar for serious health freaks.
Facilities are complete with 1 executive room (two beds), 11 single treatment rooms, 1 Vichy shower, 1 villa spa (2 beds), 33 paradise capsules, 2 hydrotherapy rooms, saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, a gymnasium, meditation room, multi- purpose room, indoor swimming pool, beauty salon, and spa boutique featuring homemade products.
Taman Sari spoils with over 40 packages. By far the best selling package is the two hour Pangimbang Raga (Physical Conditioning Program) consisting of a Body Scrub (with papaya enzymes), massage, and Hydro Bath (Milk bath/herbal bath) for Rp. 288.000++. Swarga Raras(Stress Reduction Program) is equally popular with a built-in meditation course and time in an Alpha 33 capsule, for total relaxation. There are energizing programs, jet leg, royal marital happiness packages, a two day holistic spa retreat and many more. On the whole, facilities, ancient concoctions, and service combines the best of traditional pampering fit for a princess with clean modern machinery and procedures. Highly recommended expatriates who have come a long way to experience Indonesia's rich spa history.
